Weeks 2 & 3 Progress Update
Our new office space at NorthLight Estates is taking shape beautifully. Over the past two weeks, significant progress has been made inside the historic NorthLight mill, where modern workspace design is beginning to blend seamlessly with the building’s original character. Structural refinements, interior framing, and early layout installations are now well underway, setting a strong foundation for the next stages of development.
The transformation is becoming more visible each day, and we’re excited to continue bringing new life to this remarkable heritage space.
Office Development Update – Week 4
Works on the office development at Northlight Estates continue to progress well as the project reaches week four on site. Plasterboard installation is now largely complete, clearly defining the internal layout and bringing the space closer to its finished form.
In addition, Sonaspray® has been applied to the roof, enhancing acoustic performance while retaining the open, industrial character of the building. These milestones mark an important step forward as the project moves into the next phase of internal works and detailing.
With the build progressing well in the run-up to Christmas, the programme remains on track, with the office expected to be completed early in the new year. Further updates will follow as the fit-out continues and the space begins to take its final shape.
Week 5 in 2026!
Following the Christmas and New Year break, work has now resumed at NorthLight Estates and progress is moving forward once again. Installation of lighting and roof fittings is underway within the historic NorthLight mill, bringing the new office spaces another step closer to completion. It’s great to see momentum building as modern services continue to be carefully integrated into this unique heritage setting.
Week 6!
Week six marks a significant step forward in the development of the new office spaces at NorthLight Estates. With all drywall now in place, the interiors are taking on their final form as light fittings are installed and painting progresses throughout the building. Attention has also turned to the practical details, with flooring going down and toilets being fitted, bringing the spaces closer to completion. After the pause over Christmas and the New Year, momentum has clearly returned, and the historic mill is rapidly being transformed into bright, functional offices ready for their next chapter.
Week 7: Building Two Offices Take Shape at Northlight Estates
Significant progress has been made this week, with the main large office now fully plastered and painted, and carpet installation underway. Plumbing and electrical works are nearing completion, paving the way for the remaining office spaces to be finished in the coming stages.
Week 8 Development Update – Northlight Estates
Work at Northlight Estates continues to progress at an impressive pace, with major milestones achieved this week.
Electrical installations are now well underway, with wiring and lighting fitted in every room. Roof panelling has also been completed, helping to bring the internal spaces closer to their final finish.
New radiators have been installed beneath the large mill building windows, ensuring the offices will remain warm and comfortable throughout the year.
Painting has begun in most areas, with the largest office space now fully finished, giving a clear sense of how the completed workspace will look. Meanwhile, carpenters are adding the final finishing touches to the toilet facilities.
In addition, one of our pre-booked tenants has selected their carpet, and installation is already in progress, marking another step towards occupancy.
With multiple trades working simultaneously, the development is moving forward quickly, and we are excited to see the space taking shape week by week.
Weeks 9-10 office development
Construction work at Northlight Estates, Building 2 has continued to make strong progress during weeks 9 and 10 of the office development programme.
Most internal rooms have now been fully painted, marking a significant milestone in the finishing phase of the project. This has helped to define the final layout and appearance of the workspace.
The kitchen installation is currently underway, with fitting works progressing well. This area is expected to become fully operational once final connections and finishes are completed.
Electrical and lighting installations have now been completed in most rooms. This includes internal lighting, power outlets, and associated wiring, bringing the building closer to full operational readiness.
Plumbing works are also nearing completion. All major pipework has been installed, and the system is being prepared for the final stage of sanitary fittings. The installation of toilets and sinks is scheduled to take place next week.
Overall, the project remains on track and continues to move steadily through the fit-out phase. With key services now largely in place, focus will shift towards final installations, testing, and preparation for handover in the coming weeks.
