Balloon team goes back to its roots

11879026_10153506268968190_4478885050615071803_oThe Group First hot air balloon team joined 58 other balloons in the skies around Riseley, Bedfordshire on Sunday morning as part of the annual Grass Roots Balloon Meet.

Group First Finance Director and balloon pilot Richard Gahan said: “The meet – now in its 8th year – aims to attract as many balloonists as possible to gather on a social basis and fly for fun without the pressure of entertaining crowds – balloonists going back to their roots!”

Team Pilot Under Training, Charlie, was hoping to have an instructor flight, however with the lack of available instructors, team pilot Richard and fellow pilot Austin put Charlie though his paces with lots of low level flying, making full use of the big open ploughed fields.
