Balloons and Tunes this weekend in Blackburn

The Group First Hot Air Balloon team will be at this weekend’s Balloons and Tunes event at Witton Park, Blackburn.

Crowds are in for a treat as the event promises a weekend of music, fun fairs, food stalls and tethered hot air balloons – weather permitting.

From Friday, 10 July until Sunday, 12 July families from all over Blackburn and beyond will be marking the summer with the first ever Balloons and Tunes Festival at Witton Country Park.

The Group First balloon will join an array of hot air balloons tethering throughout the day on both Saturday and Sunday.

Music lovers can check out the tunes on a dedicated stage with a full line-up of pop music tribute acts, including homages to Adele, Rihanna, Pink and Take That.

A giant fun fair will see families flock to enjoy the latest rides, traditional family favourites, children’s attractions and trade stalls.

Saturday night is set to be Glow Night when the hot air balloons will light up in a spectacular choreographed display from 9pm as the sun goes down.

Family entertainment comes from Artizani and includes mini circus performances with clowns, jugglers, stiltwalkers and magic.

The event will also feature trade stalls, a food court, free car parking, and a fully licensed bar for grown ups to relax amid all the family fun.

All balloons, music and family entertainment will be on Saturday and Sunday when entrance is just £3.

Friday is fun fair only with free entry and a special ‘friend rides free’ promotion.

Children under 1m always go free.

Opening Times: Friday 6-9pm, Saturday 12-10pm, Sunday 12-6pm.
