Balloon Team joins 500,000 visitors and helps break a record at Bristol Fiesta

At the beginning of August, the Group First Balloon team joined over 100 balloon teams  to take part in the 36th Annual Bristol International Balloon Fiesta at Ashton Court. The fiesta is the largest in the UK and one of the largest in the world.

The event takes place over 4 days with normal and special shaped balloons taking to the sky twice a day. On Thursday and Saturday evenings, spectacular night glows and held for the crowds.

With over 500,000 visitors attended over the 4 day events, it’s one of the most photographed events each year.

The balloon team took part in each of the flyouts. Saturday morning saw over 100 balloons take off from Ashton Court heading east across the city. A new record was set when 94 balloons landed at the old Cadbury’s disused chocolate factory on the east side of the city -Group First being one of the last to land on the site.
